A label applicator built for everyday production
Labeling shouldn’t be the most complicated part of the production process. The Videojet 9310 label applicator helps manufacturers simplify everyday labeling with consistent performance, intuitive operation, and fewer production interruptions.
Label applicator machines can automatically apply pre-printed, pressure-sensitive labels to products with no manual peeling or sticking required. The system feeds labels from a roll, detects each product, and places the label exactly where it needs to go.
A roll of labels is loaded onto the label applicator and products move into position to be labeled, typically on a conveyor. Sensors in the labeler detect the presence of the product and the system is triggered to automatically dispense and apply the label.
The Videojet 9310 is an automated label applicator designed to apply pre-printed, pressure-sensitive labels consistently and accurately, without the need for manual application. It helps simplify everyday labeling with reliable performance and easy operation.
The 9310 can apply labels onto a wide range of both rigid and flexible packaging types, including products such as containers, trays, clamshells, bottles, cans, jars, boxes, cartons, pouches, and bags.
It can run labels from 0.4 to 4.3 inches wide (10 to 110mm) and from 0.4 to 19.7 inches long (10 to 500mm).
The system uses a digitally controlled approach rather than components like clutches and mechanical brakes to help deliver more predictable, repeatable results over time.
As the core technology behind the 9310, Intelligent Motion™ technology is a suite of automated controls that manage label web tension, alignment, and movement. The system automatically adapts to changes like roll diameter, line speed, and label format, helping maintain smooth, controlled label application.
Built-in features like intelligent unwind/rewind, automatic label gap detection, and drive control help minimize web breaks, misapplied labels, and material waste, decreasing downtime to address these issues.
The label applicator’s design includes fewer wear parts and automatic adjustments compared to traditional systems, helping to lower ongoing maintenance needs and reduce operator intervention.
Yes. It’s designed with simplicity in mind. The labeler features an open label path for easy loading, a touchscreen interface that guides setup and operation, and automatic adjustments that support faster, more consistent changeovers than competitive units.
The 9310 is highly adaptable. It can be configured for different layouts, mounting options, and application needs, making it suitable for both new installations and existing lines. An optional stand offers the ability to apply labels to the top, bottom, or sides of products, with 360° positioning flexibility.
Absolutely. The 9310 is designed to help operators get up and running quickly, even if they’re transitioning from manual processes for the first time.
Yes. The system supports Ethernet connectivity and configurable I/O, helping it integrate smoothly into existing production environments.
